Wow that went by fast. Our BEAUTIFUL little girl has finally arrived. Hallee J Ayers was born May 4 at 12:44 pm and weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and 20 3/4 in. long. She had no problems what so ever and neither did I. I went to the Dr. on the 3 the day after my due date and he gave me the option to be induced or wait to go into labor on my own. I wanted to be induced. We went to labor and delivery at about 2:30 am on the 4 and they started me on cytotec which helps to soften your cervix. We tried to sleep but it didn't really work. We walked around labor and delivery to help things along I did start to contract, but they weren't very strong or consistent. Dr. Cox came to check on me at about 8:30 am and I was 75% effaced and 3 cm dilated. He decided to break my water and start me on the PIT. The PIT was started at 9 am and I was very ready for the epidural by 9:45. I had a lot of back labor and Dusty and Lynzi were awesome at massaging my back for me and letting me squeeze the crap out of their hands during contractions and my mom can give a great foot massage. Thank goodness for those wonderful epidurals. The nurse checked me a while later and I was complete and she had me push a few times and we were ready to get the Dr. and get this baby here. I started to push right around noon and she was born at 12:44 pm. I was so overwhelmed and excited to have brought this beautiful little girl into the world and Dusty was and is such a proud daddy. He is soo good with Hallee. One of my favorite features that she has is her daddy's crooked pinkies. We are soo happy and life couldn't get any better.
